"Making his debut on Phantom Hertz this month is L Nix, a Canadian producer who's previously had releases on the likes of Rogue Dubs, Badman Digital, Sub Philo and Betamorph Records.
Respawn is a dark, aggressive half-time stepper - big beats, punchy subs and growling mids take charge, whilst bright piano flourishes add the necessary contrast and emotion.
By comparison, Try Harder is more sedate. Deeper and more spacious, atmospheric pads wash through the track while scratchy mids punctuate the rhythm, allowing room for the synth stabs to shine."
