If you are an atheist there isn't one overall meaning that is applicable to everyone, we have to make our own.

Alternatively the meaning of life is to suffer.

I haven't found/created one yet.

So i guess at the minute it's survive to the next day with as little inconvenience as possible.

I edited my post, but yeah no overall meaning. I suppose in the short term it's graduate from my degree but beyond that there is none.

To survive longer enough to see your genes passed on, beyond that, make the meaning what you will.

In order for evolution to progress the species has to go through various incarnations of suffering in order to eliminate the weak genes. So i guess suffering is the meaning of life for a Darwinist.

That is down to the species as a whole, not the suffering of an individual.

Your question is aimed at the species as a whole is it not? Does the species as a whole not start at the individual?

There is no "meaning" of life; the two concepts aren't compatible. It's like trying to find the score on a pair of shoes or the temperature of a website.

Life happens; best thing is just to try and enjoy it wherever possible.

Not at all. Life has masses of structure; I'm currently sat working a contractual obligation in order to pay rent to a landlord so I can live in a building that took hundreds of people to design/build with hundreds of other humans... you can't get away from structure. None of that requires life to "mean" anything though.

Why not? Do you really think it's possible to ascribe life a meaning? What meaning do you ascribe?
