Music that takes you on a 'Journey'

You know what I mean. Epic compositions that transport you to another dimension, a new headspace, with no interruptions or tricks, that aren't contrite or samey. It can be anything, from classical to techno. From Bowie to Burial.

Be honest! And give reasons.

I can think of no other tune that does this for me more than Echoes by Pink Floyd.

Not only impressive for it's length and originality, but quite challenging to listen to in parts. Really quality blues funk jam and the epic part at 18 mins or so is just cream worthy, especially the build up to it. Love the drums and the synths, and that percussive bass from 15 mins on, they just keep it so interesting and lively. Amazing production for 1970 too. Sounds timeless.

Also has really deep personal memories for me. So :U: to the Floyd for this one. It's like therapy for me. Got to have my monthly prescription on Pink Floyd to keep me sane.

Actually might be my most favourite piece of music ever written.

Dunno how many people here like this but considering it's one forty minute track with a break in the middle to turn the record over it goes pretty far for one track.
