SoundCard Information Please Help

Is it essential to have a sound card atm i have just basic monitors setup to pc

Do i get a sound card is it worth it and will it improve sound quality

If so whats a good one to get is it worth spending alot or just stick to a small budget

If you aren't looking to record then you only need something with decent D/A conversion. Upgrading from a computer sound card will give you better results. What sort of monitors have you got atm? if you don't have a fairly decent pair you might not notice the change but if you have already invested in that area it makes sense to upgrade you interface. Btw I'd go the Focusrite route as a starting audio interface.
