Does anyone know about electricity?

I have this
4 x JBL SRX 725 (1200 watts) tops
2 x JBL SRX725(1200watts) sub
1 x Mixer 12 channel
1 x Wharfdale Monitor speaker-1 (1200watts I think)
1 x Amplifier rack
CDJs, Mixer and laptop
Is 1 6KW generator with one spare as a back up enough?
I think I was taught this shit in school but I can't remember

Are those wattages peak or RMS?
(Do people do RMS figures for PA kit? I'm applying car audio rules.

)

Why don't you and try look online, theres bound to be some sort of calculator that will be able to measure it's viability.

Add the wattages and leave plenty of headroom for peaks and unexpected needs.
That's not a small PA you listed, you can't run that on a small construction generator.
Maybe ask this same question at a rental place, but I'd say you need at least 10kw
and that's without any lights running off it.
Lights are the real power guzzlers.
(also don't listen to most people on here

)

If you're worried about power total in use you should be paying more attention to how much that amp rack draws than the speakers

Here's a page on the basic formulae

Definitely.
Technically you might be able to power the amps with that generator, but you would be 'underpowering'
the speakers quite a bit
7x 1200 watt continuous is quite big.

Wub, you're always trying to spark an argument. Don't try and transform the conversation into something it's not. Watt do you even get out of it?

Ohm my God, I'm not sure I like where this current is taking us. Thread's certainly got potential.

Especially as it's being taken on a new arc by somebody who's meant to be in charge. Let's try and cut this short before there's a surge.

Honestly, give wub an inch and he'll take ammeter... are you suggesting an act of resistance? I've got some spare capacity to work in parallel on this today.
