Miss Libertine, The Operatives and Lazy Daze Sound present Mista Savona , Ru C.L. (Live) and Mark Pritchard (Harmonic 33/UK)
Ru C.L. has established a good reputation for himself over the years working in the OZ hip hop scene and now presents The Next Generation, a mixture of dancehall, hip hop and reggae. Accompained by DJ ShiKung, dancer Jigzie Campbell and percussionist Salavador Castro, this riddim and dance-filled journey from dub to dancehall will transport you to present day Jamaica.
Whatever the genre, Mark Pritchard's work has been characterised by his ability to of giving the music more room to get funky, and producing deeply emotional, and twisted sounds.
Mista Savona creates a musically exuberant and authentically Caribbean backdrop sound and will be performing live with his 10 piece band including Melbourne artist Vida Sunshyne, whose credits include work with Nitin Sawhney and Lionel Richie; Responsible as well for “Melbourne Meets Kingston” Melbourne’s first entirely dancehall and roots reggae release on Elefant Traks, building on from the hip hop/reggae crossover of Astronomy Class. – A night guaranteed to get your groove on!
