Hi all,
This is my first post on this forum, and Im new in producing dubstep (music in general..).
So please understand my question based on my limited skills. And my native language is not english, so I hope you guys will understand what Im asking for.
I have been using some time in Massive in order to try to understand how to make the sounds often used in dubstep. Also know people have a love/hate relationship for Skrillex, but I will use him as an example in my question here.
When I have made a patch in Massive I cant seem to make it be as alive as I want.I guess there is something I've missed. Maybe there are some techniques or plugins which I really havent understood.
In Skrillex and Daminan Marleys "Make it bun dem" there is for example a synth coming in after 41 seconds. This is something I often hear in Dubstep. How can I get that type of sound? Is it gating, in case so, what plugins and how to do it?
Im really interested in learning how to make a sound like that. Is there a special technique to do it?
Thank you.
