It's the full version and comes with an expansion pack or something. This is probably one of the dopest vst samplers. If you're using some stock shit and wish you had something more powerful that could record audio directly and do timestretching, etc. you should check Geist out.

Wait, geist for $50? Is this real? Tell me this is not real, so I don't have to spend $50...

Are they discontinuing this product? Is this 32 bit only, wtf dude? This is like getting a brand new Ferrari for 24k.

Maybe they just have too many of these boxes. I just dl'ed the demo of geist, can't remember if I've ever tried it out. Loved Guru. Am encountering some difficulties in Geist.... and no sidechaining... oh oh oh no no no. Why there got to be ******.

Yeah, perhaps. I kind of like standalones, but yeah. Am demoing in standalone right now. It is amazing how much fun just a step sequencer is, and how little I work with them now... ie, like never.

I can't really dig step sequencers. Flashbacks to my FL days. Once I realized that all the groove sits off the grid I never went back. But since I got a launchpad and found the Push emulation script I've toyed with getting into step sequencers again. Maybe not for notes but parameter automation. It's nice and quick to get something rhythmic going.

But I just had a buddy was going to hook me up with win 7 which would mean maschine on my production pc... which might end my need for a quality drum machine.... fuck fuck fuck, do you know if this deal is time limited at all?
Ree steps - not ALL groove is off the grid. 1. All kinds of groove can happen totally on the grid and most importantly 2. The grooviest groove is achieved with an off grid groove plays against a rock solid on the grid beat. The groove is accentuated.
That is the depth of my groove knowledge.

Yeah you can't play completely outside, you'll sound like a drunk garage band drummer. Dunno about a time limit on this offer. Can't imagine it'll last forever. You might be able to call in and find out, or tentatively commit and then not checkout. Then call back later and try to get it for the same price. That worked for me once on a black friday sale. Called back in after the sale saying that I was already talking to someone and was just waiting for a paypal transfer to clear before I checked out. Asked for the black friday price, they gave it to me. "Oh yeah, can I get free shipping too?" "Yeah it should have already done that, let me sort that out for you"

Yo man, do you have any experience with geist? I've got a weird question - when a sound is set to be muted by itself, or what do you call it in here, mute groups, when the sound is muted, I'm getting clicks, which is a common problem with the drum sampling apps. Anyway to prevent this in geist?

Get it, it's awesome

hits can be shifted back and forth relative to the grid so off the grid grooves are easily done. One of the most fun to use and well designed piece of music software I know.

Yeah, was just having a tun of fun yesterday, and I managed to resample out my beats, out of the demo.
It might just be redundant to me though, having maschine, and finally taking my pc up to win 7. What you think about that buttocks?

I bought it ages ago in one of their sales. I'd highly recommend it, there's tons of stuff that it can do.

Am working with maschine, and I think there might be a gap in its abilities that geist covers.
Still worried about geist creating clicks when samples choke prior samples.
And worried about fxpansion... geist is just a new version of guru, and they just dissed their guru users, yeah crossgrade... but, I think they may be getting ready to dis their geist users.
I don't know though, with a 64 bit version, I probably could use it until I dirt nap.

I own both, and this pretty much sums it up and The maschine hardware is fine controller for geist. So I would definety recommend it.

Dude from working with geist for one little session, I can see that for beat making it is smoother than maschine, just easier to do the stuff that you always need to do, like common beat making stuff. Being able to use vst's in maschine is crazy dope. I've got to demo geist inside of fl to check it out. I hope this deal last a couple of more days. REALLY DO.

Woah this is an insane deal. Also cant believe its a boxed product, not a digital download. In total it cost me £58 from the UK (Inc all shipping and handling, taxes ect...) considering this is reduced from nearly £200 Its a steal! 64bit too.
I tried the demo of this ages ago and really liked it but never wanted to spend that much. And now I have I'm very happy indeed!
