Seriously though, I know some of the ex-pat oldies down Cabo de Gata way, and every time I speak with them down one of the local bars they always seem to be complaining about how it's not like it used to be when they first moved over. Every year the village is getting more crowded etc etc.

Other than the occasional jellyfish swarm I've honestly found nothing to dislike about my time down there. Waking up to this every morning is nothing short of magnificent.

I reckon round there is probably slightly more idyllic than Fuengirola or Torremelinos to be fair.

My parents are currently in the process of selling their place in Benalmadena... always thought they were planning to retire there, but my Mum's got bored apparently and wants to use the money travelling to new places. Slightly gutted I'll no longer be able to have last minute holidays for the price of an Easyjet flight!

I've got a mate in Fuengirola and you just drive a bit and it's great again. Rodondo!
