Wardriving or Warbiking in this case is really the act of cruising around finding open wireless access points.
What this guy did was set up a rogue access point known as an evil twin that mimics a valid access point.

If you're doing your online banking from Starbucks, you've no-one to blame but yourself.

There is a time and place for Starbucks.
Usually around 6am in Madrid T1 when nothing else is open.

Yeah, I know. Many an early morning has been made better with a pint in there.
That one in the corner under Frankie & Benny's was good for a while, now it's been closed and they're opening a KFC instead

To be fair though Starbucks is nicer than the rest of the corporate coffee shops. Cafe Nero makes horrible coffee, and Costa coffee is alright i suppose.
Why anyone even uses online banking is beyond me. I've never done it and never will. I don't trust it.

Just personal preference I suppose. Every time I go into Starbucks though, they always write my name wrong. Instead of writing Mario, they write Marion. Tnucs! It's happened a handful of times now.

online banking is what? paying your bills online n that? are you kidding???
in finland at least managing your bank account and paying your bills etc online has been the fucking standard for like 15 years or so

literally no-one has been to an actual bank since 1999, save for the odd 80-year olds who've never seen an internet

Starbucks is the best spot to grab "free" wifi tho. Ive spent many days there in the days where we had no internet
