Frequency Shifter

As I'm short on $, and am going to be short on $ for a while, I've been wanting to make a frequency shifter patch for Reason, since I can't buy the Echobode or even the Uhbik RE's.
I've spent about 2 hours just researching how HW frequency shifters have been built, but even with schematics, I'm clueless as to how to translate it.
I'm in need of help of anyone that knows how to make a VST Frequency Shifter, or just knows how one works in general because from there, there might be a good chance that I could translate it to Reason.
All useful help is appreciated in advance.
