I love the pads and the feeling evoked in the intro… But the rest of the tune feels to me a bit stressful and sort of missing its point.

Rules are to be broken for sure, but I would try to conform a little bit more to the standard dubstepbeat where the kick falls on 1 and the snare on 3, with a bit of shuffle and a hihat on 2 and 4 (as a starter at least). The kick and the tom doesn’t cut it, at 140-ish its just stressful and sounds out of place.

When the main part of the tune kicks in I feel that there is too much going on at the same time (rather, the first part is actually quite nice, apart from the stressy beat). It seems to me that youre going for a darker and more sinister feel to the tune, and I think that a more minimalist approach would be more effective. Let the beat be the backbone together with the pads that pulls the tune through and then, when the wobbles are introduced in the second drop, use them as effect - I can hear at least two different ones, one midrange and one a little bit lower – with som air and space in between them. That would, in my mind, make the tune more effective and convey the feeling that I think youre after (correct me if I’m wrong) more clear. That would add som heavyness to it as well and if you treat the last drop in the same way, still with the intensity you brought into it, it could have the potential to be a killer.

I checked out youre soundcloud-page btw, theres some nice stuff there. Especially “Asik Veysel” (wich sort of sounds more like dubstep to me, except for the beat though).
That my two cents anyway…
