dark samples

anyone have a pack of really like dark, "spooky" samples.. and i don't mean atmospherics or pads or shit like that already got plenty of those but like tonal stuff sampled from other songs etc.. suitable for sampling when making a rap beat for example

Try using minor 2nds and diminished fifths.

That's a pretty good tip. OP have you looked into sampling film soundtracks?

Sample the music from weird avant-garde films or sample circus music for a generic cringe inducing cheese. Also sample anything and layer it with its self pitch shifted one semitone and it will instantly sound horrifying.

Agreed. Any sort of melodic doom will do you good. Check out My Dying Bride, Woods of Ypries, ect. Also some folk music can be really good. Lots of emotion in it.

So be a bit clearer in your request. Jonahman hit the nail on the head, darkness comes from note selection, specifically dissonance. but what kind of darkness/dark sound are you talking about? It's quite a broad term and it looks like people have just been giving their opinion of what it is you're looking for based on the description you give, if that's poor advice, not enough was given to give a more accurate response.

On the other hand, all of the advice given in here has been spot on. Pitch things down, low pass them, layer 2 of the same detuned a semitone (not necessarily all at the same time) play with minor seconds, diminished fifths, tritones - it's called diabolus in musica for a reason.

Other than that healthy selection of processes to dark sounding stuff, what would be more appropriate to your specific needs?

I wasn't talking about guitars, obviously.

I mentioned the types of metal I named for specific reasons. They're ripe with dark sound design that isn't traditionally "metal" or even using guitars.

what do you mean by 'dark' though? post some examples. There's a lot of different kinds of dark. e.g. Chopin =/= Maralyn Manson

You guys are suggesting things thinking that the guy is hard working producer. What he wants is for you to spoonfeed him sample packs so he can make his "beats."
No one here is going to give you exactly what you want. All of the advice given is as good as it gets. Regardless of the genre, be it classical or metal, darkness comes from atonality, ambience, and sometimes distortion.
The advice is only as good as the person interpreting it. Sample your own sh*t, no one else but you knows what's in your head. Your music will always reflects the amount of effort you put in.
