you might think another stupid question from me


but i just bought some sample packs and i like the bass loops i've load them into to my daw
and eq's them for more low end but still notice not much sub is coming through ?

any tips of how i could get more sub from these bass sample loops from a sample pack ?

Then that's your problem. You're going to need to know the midi to be able to layer the sub underneath.
So that's something to be done through trail and error

Grab a Spectrum Analyser and put it on the track w/ the bass sample, find peak frequency of said sample and it should give you the note the frequency corresponds to (E1, F0, A#1, etc). Create a new MIDI track and pop your clean sine sub in there, and create a MIDI pattern to reflect note played by the sample (using the info you gained from the Spectrum Analyser).

what I usually do Is fudge about with different notes while listening for dissonance between the note I'm playing and the sampled note, minor seconds are extremely dissonant but unison is extremely consonant, you feel for the right note and move in semitones up and down till you hear it snap in to harmony. Do that for each note and voila, you have your melody. I've done it tons.

Here's a tip - open your daw, then open a synth. Then make your own sounds, and get exact control over exactly everything, including stuff like this.

Ok, then, actual advice. There are plugins that do this; If you have logic, you can use Logic's Sub Bass plugin, which does this really really well (when I have this problem using my own resampled stuff I use that). Also check out waves RBass to add harmonics to the lows to make them more pronounced, I use this on all sub bass in all my songs.

It's a free tuner by GVST. It tells you what the note is.

Either do what these guys said above (separate synth/sine sub) or split the sample into 2 channels one for sub (low passed) and one for the rest (high passed) then just up the volume of the lower one, maybe add a limiter etc to make the sub part sound louder.
