Hi guys.

I've been looking around for tutorials to use Reaper. All of the running tutorials I've found are aimed at using Reaper for purposes other than music production and are more geared towards general audio editing and recording. While these have been useful, I can't seem to find anything more than a quick one-off on aspects of music production I know nothing about. Finding a decent starting point past the general audio editing and recording stuff is proving to be quite difficult. Would anyone happen to know about a particular series of tutorials that would help a total novice learn the ropes? Or could anyone provide a recommendation for a good aspect of production to start looking into?

This is a very vague request.
Reaper is very similar to other DAWs in it's basic operation.
You still route a vst and play it via midi piano roll.
Routing and what not you can get videos on.
So if you're looking for basic production techniques then youtube is fine for everything.
If you want Reaper specific tips then youtube can also help.

There is also this thread where you can ask any questions related to reaper and users on here will answer your questions to the best of their knowledge.

There is also the Groove 3 Reaper 4 explained by Kenny Gioia tutorial series. I found this extremely helpful ages back when I was getting in to this daw, it can be a bit dry and exhaustive, but it really gets your head round how the daw works in terms of the basic functionality you'd expect and then some in terms of how reaper extends upon those in it's own ways.

What kind of thing are you looking for though? 'Audio editing and recording' are music production. Do you mean a more in the box, sample/synth based computer music/EDM production workflow? Point being, the same concepts apply. The only thing you'd have to learn aside from the stuff you've already been looking at is "how to route a synth to a track". Everything else is exactly the same as using recorded audio (samples) and fx chains and routing, creating busses, general project organisation e.t.c. It all applies in the same way, except you're recording or drawing in midi, instead of printing from mics.

Like I said, if you've got any specific question, ask in the reaper Q&A thread and you should be fine, so have a think about the kind of specifics you want to get your head round first and drop a bullet list in there or something.
