I was just mixing at home when I pulled for Namkha and realised once again how good it sounds. The mastering and pressing on this are absolutely stellar. Even the 33rpm side sounds full and rich, the bass rumbles through like on a weighty dubplate... Plate of the year for me. I haven't heard anything dubsteprelated that sounded that good in a long, long time.
Anyway. Didn't see a Young Echo-topic, so I thought fuck it let's go.

Well deserved, and I agree completely regarding the quality, it keeps surprising me. The Nn special is the one for me.

point!
I really dig the kahn remix too, those rumbling bassdrums kill it on a heavy system!
ishan sound is defo one to watch. he played some heavy dubplate steppers in basel a few weeks ago.

Also the Nexus Ep they released a while back is very under rated, quality tunes on there, and the monthly sessions go off! such vibes in there, one of the best concurrent events in bristol

Ishan Sound's set at Reconstrvct XIX was incredible, wish it could get uploaded but probably too many dubs for that. i hope a full Young Echo crew US tour sometime in the future, but Kahn & Neek July 19th for Reconstrvct XX 3rd birthday (with Gantz/LAS/Epoch) should fill that void. murderation

that statement was actually directed towards all the ZamZam plates.
ZamZam 7s manage to sound (almost) like 12s, which is very impressive. I can't think of any other label putting out 7s at the consistent high quality levels ZamZam manage to maintain.
But the Namkha plate somehow transforms your bedroom speakers into the RC1.

Their FACT mix from last year is one of my top rated mixes ever.
