DRIP (legislation)

Post by nitz » Sat Jul 19, 2014 10:03 pm

So the Data Retention and Investigatory Powers bill got its royal steal of approval, or to be acctutre it got Royal Assent a few days ago. This bill when from bill to law in around a week through the emergency procedure, even thought there wasn't one. EU ruling about mass surveillance didn't go down well. You can read the legislation here:

http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/201 ... 027_en.pdf

If you have no idea what about talking about read these (and google it):

Bare in mind, i'm sure UK has we're all being checking everyday, this just puts the works in paper.

It's bullshit, fucking obvious sneaky one. It can be repealed but it'll take years now, I think this government thinks there's a likely chance of a shitstorm at this election
