This is big i think u need to eq out some space for ur kick in the bass. Also some verb or delays would work really nice on ur clap as well as perhaps layering something a little more punchy underneath it (like the snare in the middle section). but honestly that delayed crackly midrange is sick.

Sinestepper mad respect for the feedback, I agree mate i was a lil sloppy with tidying it up at the end i filtered down that kick a touch to much, like u say can hear the two elements battling for space in the lower bandwidth, As for snare hits thats the area i want to improve on my snares sound whack iv tried adding verb n laying up before but it sounding whack, its the snare verb tail i'm after, Just like Disticts riddem Roys theme that snare is Huge, but it would only work on certain vibes, I'm guessing i could record the tail of a Ride and n sequence it just after the snare hit, Sound about right?

if you wanna talk about the drums? yea, the drums sound dead... there are loads of ways to change that.. simple solution based on how i think your track is put together is change the drum sample, or layering sounds to create something with more bite... reverb/delay to give it some "extra" depending on what your trying to achieve, and EQ/mixdown to get it sitting where you want it?... :) take it easy bro.

I like the noise-delayed-mid-dirt too! this one sounds great. Probably the keys and drums are not tough enough compared to that.

big up!

def your drums are a little weak. and its straight. some good packs to grab when you first start out is any vengeance packs. very good stuff in there. I still use their fx samples all the time. Cool deep vibes though

Thing is i wanna learn the techniques so i can make a weak kick/snare sample alot punchier n tighter sounding, I know compression is involved to bring up the troughs in the sample but that's about it ;(

Eq each sound. I think for a snare there's a certain pitch you increase to make it snappier, same with the kick etc
