Just basically wanna know how he made the drums sound the way they do, that sort of white noisey like effect. Don't think its any synth instruments; it's quite similar to how the hats sound on Teardrop by Massive attack.

there's a normal hat pattern layered with white noise / bright noise in the background. simply automating the volume of the noise should do the trick
