Got a zoom h2n this past weekend and did some recordings. Heres a small little pack with two atmospheres I made and depending on the demand will be a second one shorty. Got it recorded and shared it to some friends but not sure if the dubstep community cares for foleys that much. Theres the download and have a good day.

Shameless youtube promotion. Did a couple neuro or drum and bass videos on bass design and resampling. I will be doing more videos now since I can record my voice with my zoom and start doing reasonable requests, so check it out!

ps.: how do you handle your recorded files?

i sit on a mountain of recordings

cause on the one hand i cant/dont like the feeling of delete/ing stuff on the other hand i find it hard to sort and name all of them

you cut peaces out and save them seperatly?

Awesome! Good for you because im going to start recording tons! Seeing If I can talk to a company and make a pack. Foleys or just general atmospheres, kicks,snares, and basses.

Im still new, literally those were my first recordings but I afterward walked around my house and recorded more stuff. So it was a file around 15 minutes at 44.1/16 bit to save some space lol
Then went into ableton and cut the clips I wanted, named them by using a shortcut and then using another to consolidate. Just saved the project and then all the clips where in the samples section. Moved to a foler and deleted the project. Took me an hour or so to do but so much fun!

Also how do they sound? Imo there a bit too much white noise going on in the back, not sure if too much gain, the air con, or some stuff inside the zoom but when messing the individual clips I just used a denoiser and sounded 10x cleaner. Might do that for the next recordings or let people do that them selves. Made some more fx stuff with the samples and sounded good so idk, maybe im just being super picky.

yeah i guess thats the only way haha hoped for a magic superfast way
naming and sorting and all this stuff takes ALOT of time ;
i guess i just have to atleast find something fun in sorting stuff

i think they sound just fine
you will always have some kind of background noise but the remote click and bubble rap are really nice( i guess you recorded them in a more quiet environment?)

i dunno how the hn2 works but with the h6 you have to be very careful if you raise the sensibilty cause you catch more sounds from dif rooms and the natural noisefloor rises too (like pc noise fridge etc)

and maybe for a pack you could include some one shots :3

Yeah those recordings where at pretty low and when I increase the gain I get some noisie, made a little rack for it. Basically recorded on the lowest gain in a super quite place and found the really resonate peaks when I put it into voxango and just eq'd them out and add a denoiser

I think the h2n is really good, but i guess if you pay more you will get better which applies to everything.

The next one will be all oneshots! And a couple long clips of running water and razor playing. Should of did the razor stuff in my shower to get the real lowend of the sound to make a bass. You can still use it for a bass and layer it on top for high end.

Its Friday! So Foley Friday.

A lot more stuff in this pack, more organized, loads of oneshots. Good for percussion and layers for shifted snares.
