Have you?

Proceeding from the murder videogame thread where trichome said "humans have always had morbid curiosity".
I wanted to explore that, perhaps to look at why.
Have you ever killed anything? any significantly morbid stories on your part?
I once killed a cockroach when I was living in Angola, it took me a couple of days to knuckle down and kill it because the first time I'd seen it it was flying and I had no idea cockroaches could fly. It made me feel sick so I just stayed out of my room for 2-3 days until I got the balls together to stomp the fucker down.
Not killed in this case, but when I was 3-6 I fed random litter (mostly soft paper and no plastics/metals iirc) to a guinea pig.
I also used to snatch my aunt's goldfish sometimes.

Killed loads of ants, moths, spiders, daddy long legs... Most bugs that come into my house tbh. I don't like killing bigger bugs though, cause you can feel more of a squish

Fuck that haha, did it die first time? Did you hit it more than once? When did you reach "enough"?

A mate and I were skimming stones across a pond aiming for a group of birds. One of my stones skipped up and hit this most majestic looking white swan in the neck, snapping it half. The bird thrashed around in the water for a bit before it drowned and died. That was 25 years ago and I still feel pretty bad about it.

I killed a small bird this year with a rock because my cat had broken its wing. It was grim. I posted about it here actually.

Took a really swollen tick off my dog when I was a kid and smashed the grape sized tick with a croquet mallet on our garage floor. It looked like a crater on the moon, but made out of blood.

I washed my hands earlier with anti bacterial soap; still coping with the guilt of killing millions.
