Have you heard the comet, cray-cray!

Something tells me we're about to wake up some kinda mothra/godzilla that's been chillin in space, communing with the galactic core.

Trying to sneak a peek from my desk, but someone just gave me a meeting for 4pm which might scupper me... this is one of the dopest things humanity has done within my lifetime.

Tweeting on touchdown was a nice touch.

So proper photo/video material is expected in an hour or two?

This live stream was mainly speeches with funny accents. Still good though.

I think there will be photos very soon, didn't they say it takes 28 minutes for things to be sent back here? Or something, it's been on in the background

Yeah seem here, preparing a presentation mainly.

Was kind of hoping we would see the same image as control does when it comes in.

Haven't been following in the last 24hrs, anchor hooks failed to deploy?

this is sick

do you remember when they did this in the 90s, but they actually drilled into it and it saved a lot of lives

Being a nerd and all I have been following this for a while...

The lander touched down but failed to deploy the anchor. And it proceeded to bounce back into a suborbital trajectory in which it touches down on the comet every couple of hours. Oh yeah and due to the rotation of the comet, they are expecting to loose contact with the probe as it enters the radio shadow.
