Bass music listener problems: my subwoofer constantly activates the "Active Display" on my Moto X, making me think I have a text message or some notification... when it's really just the bass moving the phone just enough to activate it.

Had to use adblock to cut the DSF banner in my browser because I'm embarrassed to have people in libraries thinking I listen to 'dubstep'.
It's weird, because I generally think that people should get over it, but here I am, trapped in my embarrassment.

eiteher my ears are bad or almost every system Ive been to is bad, but whenever I hear music out there's always like a gigantic wall of sharp, hard staticky noise covering most of the mid/hi end for me. It's actually way better to hear the tunes if I push my fingers in ears a little, then I can actually hear separate elements and shit
the problem being I look like a retard

Harks did u know they sell products that act as two fingers in your ears, they are called ear plugs, you don't have to put your fingers in there anymore m8

chances are the sound dudes will be pushing it too hard at their end too. you should consider getting some fitted plugs. no idea how much they'll cost over there but they're a good investment for the long term health of your ears.

I've always considered buying decent earplugs but my ears are totally fucked now after 18 years of being a drummer, I usually have cheap disposable ones lying about the place but every time I've brought them to the dance I've never needed them
