So I live in Manchester, next year I'll be moving into the student village slap bang in the middle. I figured this would be a great opportunity to get out there and preform my own stuff. I know how the basics on DJ'ing, but it's one thing to do it in the bedroom and another live so I'm sure I need more practice. I've never done it before, does anyone know the process? I don't particularly know any clubs to go to yet, but I'm sure I will soon enough.

make friends wsith ppl into the same music with you in halls and start putting on student nights.
In fallowfield there is Kao Tao and 256 and in rusholme thers antwerp mansion, which you will be able to book at a low price and fill up easily. if you cant be bothered to start a night, ask promoters if you can play. theres plenty of student nights that star every year its just about making friends with the right people and selling yourself as a dj (basically got to be a self promotional dickhead).
Theres nights like take the whole cake, detached, rum and bass, nxnw, rotation policy that are always looking for student djs and theres pangaea which is the student festival
