I like the contrast in foreground/background here. I think the strings could benefit with a bit of reverb, but I can see why you would choose to not do so.
Musically, I felt something was missing. The drums were nice and busy, the bass comes in good, and the strings weren't too redundant, but something was missing to me.
Good tune though, sorry If my critique doesn't make enough sense/don't have more to say.

Nice. I agree with pulsewave that it feels incomplete, still needs to be fleshed out a bit.

Also, the melody feels like a tease ... promising something it never quite delivers. Taking it somewhere new and unexpected would be good, I think. Foil listeners' expectations a bit?

I agree with you kotei, def needs vocals. Sounds like an instrumental to me. I think the tune is spot on though. Maybe vary your bass line a bit?

Keep work on that, there are a bounce of different thing you can do with that thing.
