I'm only joking anyway. And I think I've only mentioned that once, and never with my age :? Plenty of bods I know own a house in their twenties. Outside London, it's not that rare.

don't kid yourself, nobody in their twenties owns a house. I'm your age and happy enough I can afford a room in an appartment.

I do not live in a rich area (and the people I know that do live in a rich area will never afford a house there), but afaik, I'm the highest paid of my mates, but in different groups I hang around with, 8 of them have got a house, 2 of them rent and a few others live at home. Is there some confusion about "owning"? Like I don't own the house outright, I have a mortgage. If people have been in full time work between 6-8 years, it's not been hard for them to save up a deposit, especially if they're doing it with a partner.

over here at least someone that age owning a house is a rare rare thing. most kids are struggling with rent. even the people i know that own property both inherited it.

So you don't talk to your mates about your jobs? None of you speak about getting new jobs or promotions? Not like we all submitted payslips man, guess we're just not sensitive (like some, understandably are) when speaking about wages. The rest I just guess based on the jobs they have.

Last figures I can find are £254k, but if you take London out, then it drops to £190k.
