Gospel!

Post by Forensics » Wed Oct 17, 2007 11:47 am

Not a religious man, but seems that I quite like a bit of religion in my music!!

Really taken to old timey music lately - blues, bluegrass, etc....

But yeah, the gospel kicks ass especially!!!!

Sam Cooke and the Soul Stirrers :!:

Anyone else into stuff like that?

Well soothing, need to get more.....

Any recommendations would be wicked :D

Fuck yes.

Not a religious man either, but you can't beat a bit of Johnny Cash when he's in a Jesus mood.

Love the stuff, more into the very early stuff though. Something about those voices coming through ancient, crackly recordings. So, so spooky and moving.

This is pretty much essential.

Oh, and if you want to hear something utterly intense and terrifying: http://historymatters.gmu.edu/d/5759/

agree with bbr here, the really old stuff is utterly supernatural music. Listen to Blind willie Johnson...
