Freak Camp needs a new MC!

There have been heated arguments about the question wether a dubstep party needs MCs or not. We believe that a versatile mic man/woman who knows how to host a night adds a lot of flavour and a healthy bit of sound system feel to the mix.

As we are currently without a MC, we decided to have a contest. Any aspiring MC who would like to be part of Freak Camp can present his or her skills live on stage that night. The crowd and the Freaks decide about the winner. More details on freakcamp.net

On the wheels of steel: 2krazy, Danny Bwoy, J-Trex and Robotic.

Hoy!

I'm going to be in Berlin this weekend for auditions. So if I don't do well on Saturday, you can expect to see me out at this party :)

What's the deal with dubstep in Germany? My impression is that it isn't a huge thing? hmmmm

On another note, Montreal has no one MCing on dubstep either, but the Randstad Rollaz do a swell job over in Holland. It can be done, folks. I'd like to see more experimentation for sure.

So...who's gonna show me the ropes?

we had mcs on many of our partys and it was great to say the least! if not our old resident whylee, it was mc halbgott or mc ramon mostly, but they were too fast n grimey in the long run. thats why we need a new one. come on over n check it out!! :)
<FSTZ> you are so goth bossman

Noooo. Not true. These days it's pretty much the de facto national music. Apparently, the plan is to get rid of the Deutschlandliedes as the national anthem, and replace it with either Night or Anti War Dub. There's a referendum planned for next Jan.

Seriously, though, the Freak Camp parties are good fun. I'll be going along to Tante Kaethe on Sat with my girlfriend plus a few friends. None of us have been to this venue before so we'll be stumbling around looking for the hole in the fence, too. We'll probably be out drinking in Prenzlauer Berg beforehand. If you want to tag along, PM me and we'll sort something out.

um yes, we'll try and put up nuff signs so that ppl won't get lost. there is another way to get to the venue, through a big gate on the right side of eberswalder strasse, where the traffic light is, past mauerpark and just past the mauersegler pub/restaurant. should u go that way, keep heading straight (600+m) until you get to a big shut metal gate... at this point tante kaethe will be on your right-hand side and i'm sure by then you'll hear us as well. ;) not sure how well that way is lit at nite tho, so the other way might still be a better way to go... plus more adventurous! :)
