Classical, anyone?

Post by auan » Thu Oct 25, 2007 3:48 am

Yo who be feelin dem bare symphonic vibes? My boy Wagner throwin down each an every. Rimsky-Korsakov with the hard and heavy flow. Tchaikovsky keepin it locked and real. Morricone bringin us back up to date. Untouchable skillz. Boh. Big ups.

Seriously though, anyone into classical stuff on any kind of level?

Yeah I am pretty big on my classical stuff aye.

Maintain about 2 crates of vinyl of classical music aye.

Really big on my Dvorak, Grieg, Elgar and Rachmaninov.

I like Stravinsky, the great Beethoven is maybe my favourite composer (the 5th, apassionata, eroica, pastoral symphony, ode to joy, pathétique, prisoners' chorus from Fidelio etc. man was the don. And he was deef as yer auld granny to boot!), some Bach, Erik Satie, John Cage, Philip Glass, Steve Reich in the afternoons etc.

Gotta love the classical, some really good stuff.... I might need to follow up on some of these lesser-known composers, esp if its some darker shit, because i have to admit... When i listen to classical, i'm listening for some samples to rape

i like classical, i don't know that much about it but i like handel and tchaikovsky. nothing is funnier than playing classical music to people on a comedown...apart from maybe 'playing' the accordion to them

harpsichord is my favourite old skool instrument, they just have the sweetest twangy sound ever. the gladiators did a track with a harpsichord and it might be my favourite reggae tune ever. as much as i like classical music, it really took the fun out of my music gcse :( bastard teacher thought post-1800 music was irrelevant
