ask in the production forum
Re: Dubstep Growl whats wrong?
you clearly have to learn about the very basics of synthesizing first
ADSR, filtering etc.

Re: Dubstep Growl whats wrong?
Go to youtube, search something along the lines of "advanced massive growl tutorial" and filter that shiz by "upload date".
As for your specific sound, try changeing the filter to either comb or double notch. Fux with the filter settings. Try adding a parabolic shaper and hardclipper as your inserts. And for god sakes turn the reverb down. Keep a little, but turn it way down.

1. Hopefully we're not all being trolled here with someone who only has 5 posts to his name....
2. IF you TRULY made what you posted in the beginning, then you're already there, you just don't know how to get what you want b/c you don't know EXACTLY what you're doing when you make sounds....
-You have vowel movement. The 2 biggest things that make vowels more pronounced are frequency boosting and filter movement.
-Modulation/automation with very precise control is paramount, regardless of how minor the change. The effort you put into modulating sounds, provides more compositional tools.
