It's amazing the 100's of random accounts that registered on the days leading up to the voting but haven't made a single post since.
Did any of them submit votes I wonder?

no! because their accounts were not activate, till yesterday.
they could register, but they couldnt login, post or vote. cos their accounts werent activated.
actually, math is simple, 600 ppl voted in awards, and more than 1000 ppl registered during awards. obviously, much more ppl would vote if there were allowed to vote.

onesheets, press, promotion, myspace/facebook. it might not mean much to people on the forum but if you're trying to push a 12" or get your name out, it looks good on paper.
we're not trying to make oscar awards. lol

The english is even more simple, I'm not talking about people who registered during the awards, but the 100's who registered just days before account activation was switched off and could have posted/voted.

Yeah, I know, I'm just peeved at having to wait so long to post, 'sall. It does seem to be a pretty drastic way to do things.
The people who supply the forum software should make it an option to stop new registrations from casting votes, you shouldn't have to stop registrations altogether...that would solve both problems.
