I know this will make for a cheesy thread but still ride along !
I'll answer my own question first.
Paulie from Hotflush ! He was the first to listen to my tunes and give me comments and it encouraged me to keep going ! My goal in life is to send him a tune that he will really like !
Mala : nuff said ! Never spoke to him, but he's an inspiration.
And finally the plastician ( I know he'll say he's not dubstep but still ! ) : what he's achieved, well, it encourages me to take things seriously and act pro whatever I'm doing !
Brap
Your turn !

Vexd and Distance.
All the other names make wicked chunes but I like a producer that isn't scared to be "too hard"

Yeah I totally agree with you. I didn't mean that anyone was scared but just mad props for the people that choose to push the darker side of things. When I started listening to this sound it didn't really have a name. Not that I like it any less, but before there was no definitive dark tracks (IMO).
Of course I look up to every single person who has ever released a dubstep record up to this point. Because they are the originators. Hopefully they dont become cluttered with copy cats (dnb). Keep it original, make your sound = YOU

I don't really see any room for hero worship in dubstep. I definitely respect people and am happy that their creativity, talent etc. is recognized though.

Yeah man, why does it have to be hero worship? I look upto Pinch really, man has done so much for Dubstep in Bristol and been real good to me. But he's just a regular guy like anyone else just with added nekkle.
