Cinematic Orchestra - Ma Fleur

Got it the other day, pretty nice album, nothing on Every Day but that was fucking genius.

Any thoughts?

Its a grower i think.

Different style to Everyday. Like a soundtrack to a totally different film. Difficult to compare the 2 i think

Good good album, still waiting on my bloody deluxe box set!!

Very different to their other albums, but in saying that my favourite album of theirs will probably always be Motion.

Motion and Every Day were amazing - and I still think to this day that they did not get enough credit for those albums.

I Find Ma Fleur rather bleak

the material is top, its just a very different vibe from previous stuff and so not necessarily what i expected when i pressed play

grown on me quite a lot though - one of the albums i can just press play and leave running til the end

Im glad they can change their style a bit and still come up with the goods. Thats a lot more than most bands can do for sure.

Check them out live if you can.

And dont forget man with a movie camera either....

Ma fleur is weak. I like 1 or 2 tracks but was hugely dissapointed after Man with a Movie Camera, Motion & Every Day

aye ive given it a good listen now, not the keenest ive been over an album after a bit of listening but its still got some good tunes on it - cant stand that 'Music Box' though. something about it that i just hate! the first 3 tracks are probably my favourite.

Dont think ive heard Motion - Will deffo check it out though.

really think this an amazing album, and its good to see them doing something different than what theyre "known for".

"to build a home" is beautiful, "time and space" the same. when i first heard the album i thought it never really got going...and i guess thats true, but its still an excellent album i feel.

gotta say it is quite a somber listen though

Really nice, although very calm and relaxed in a way. Good they're trying something different! My favorite album is still Man with a Movie Cam though. Saw them live and was blown away!
