Great album, and it has real longevity as well. Still gets a fairly regular spin at my place

For some reason that one does nothing for me.. Maybe I'll need to give it another listen

Serious? Ah well, different strokes :)

It's a bit more minimal I guess, more dubbed out and stripped down. Think that's why I like it better.

exactly.. the sound on that lp is weighty!

Great stuff! Scape is a lovely label.

The title reminds me of: Shuttle358 - Understanding wildlife. One of favourite ambient albums...

Fuck yeah, Shuttle 358 (City Centre Offices - another great label) and Jan Jelinek are quality. Jan Jelinek's sample palette is massive, his latest one samples everything from avant garde classical stuff to fucked up hardcore... think I like Loop Finding Jazz Records best though. It's a bit more focused :)

Caught Deadbeat live at Decibel in Seattle last summer and it was on... huge dub vibes in the place. I have been trying to get Decibel to do a dubstep night this year, but the programmer wrote me back and said he didnt know what dubstep is.... I sent him to barefiles.

Word is, though, that there is gonna be a Rhythm&Sound and Thomas Felhdman all dub night, as well as maybe a Planet µ showcase night... so maybe Vex'd/Pinch/Distance?

Yeah, Deadbeat is good. Some live sets of his floating around.

deadbeat is dope. wildlife doc is wicked but you might buy something borrowed and last summers album "new world observer". cant leave any of them behind. (his first album "primordia" on intr_version was cool too) and yeah talking about scape... jelinek`s first lp, kit clayton, bus and of course the label owner pole`s releases worth money.

For me "New World Observer" is definitely their best release so far, my copy's almost worn out! But still need to give Something Blue... another spin!
