Boycott Turnkey!
Twats just refused to upgrade my Reason 3 to Reason 4..
Why?
I bought it in the time period that i'm allowed a free upgrade..But apperantly they have no record of me ever buying any product from there store..I've spent about £2k in the last 2 years, always giving my full details, and apparently i've bought nothing...and they treat me like im a lier..
nothing but grief whenever i've bought something from here..one bit of equipment took 6months to arrive, although they had taken the money out of my account!!
im the biggest mug, cos i've been going back for the last 4 years..
D.V. from here on in...
feel free to vent your anger on this thread..

Haha, Turnkey have been shit for 10 years mate, there is a long running boycott by most of the music industry.
I once tried to purchase an Akai MPC 3000, that they 'had in stock', turned out to be not true..

I bought a virus from them...
they all work on commission IN the shop, so you get a good service if you go down there..
BUT
once the sale is made... your just another number unfortunately, you got your product, they got their commission...everybody's happy...until you go back with a problem.
surely you have receipts/emails/letters from them?

The service is notoriously shit. I've bought loads of stuff from them and never once had the kind of service i would right home about. I tend to find i know more then they do in there and find it really frustrating when they cant offer me an answer that i couldnt find reading one of there reviews.
They had logic in they're cataloge for about £250. I realised this was a mistake so i phoned up and asked them to give it me for the advertised price as it's against the law to falsly advretise some thing. They didn't like that and refused to give it to me for the stated price so i reported them to the trading standard's lol.
Having said all that they are cheap so i expect this will go on for ever.

a store can withdraw at any point from a sale, if it's advertised at the wrong price and there's an errors and omissions small print (which turnkey have) then there's nothing you can do about it your trading standards should have told you that. They had logic in they're cataloge for about £250. tesco advertised an xbox 360 & forza bundle the other week for £32
completely within their rights to withdraw it and tell everyone sorry, error
turnkey wise - crap customer service apart from in-store (commission based staff)
but .... two years ago my mate ordered a pair of xlr-phono cables and got a delivery of 8 adrenalinns!
he told them it was delivered in error and they couldn't be bothered to pick them up (crap customer service)
in summary - i got a free one of these:

i still don't use turnkey though

Turnkey
Couldn't resist joining in on the Turnkey diss...
I'm obviously 'over it' now, whatever 'it' was that turned me off them, cos I've spent a lot in there and can't recall details... but I feel your pain. Generally service ranges from half arsed to a total blanking that you're stood in front of them waiting to buy! They seem to dislike being paid in cash (the sales register is by the door in full view of the 'bouncer') who then proceeds to check your purchase on the way out.
There is only one shop that I am happy to recommend. Electrofix in Bristol. (www.electrofix.co.uk) horrid website, but a real aladdins cave of 2nd hand stuff. None of it dodgy, always mint, serviced, boxed with manual and 9 months guarantee.
