2005 Grime, Dubstep, Breakstep "award"!

Hi all!

Why don't make the first Grime, Dubstep, Breakstep "award"? Public recognition is the best prize one can get!

I suggest these categories:

1. Best DJ
2. Best Producer
3. Best Tune
4. Best Label
5. Best Release
6. Best Party

What do you think about?

I thinks it a good idea to recognise but im sure there is already an annual Grime awards run by Sidewinder. Not sure if the dub/break stuff is also included in that?

There was a dubplate.net awards last year, organised by Distinction. Anyone fancy knocking up a webform and collating the results?

Great! Seems that we could do that together through the forum! This forum have the tools to do that, right? A pool... And things like that...

yeah.. i was thinking starting that thread too.. basically, everybody can make a pool on forum..
i'll help you stick it on the top

but, first we need some rules, right:

- you can suggest award categories in this thread till 15th November.
- then we'll set the thread for each category and nominate our favorites in each thread/category till 1st December.
- then we'll make a pool (with ALL nominees) and announce results 1st January 2006.

ok?

i suggest no subganre divisions; one(ie, dubstep) forum - one(ie, dubstep) award
(i see a few problems if we split it in dub award and breaks award.. for example: where would you put distance?)
+ this way we'll see which sound is more popular

about the top 10 or top 3..
actually, everybody will see exactly how many voices did someone received.. (from first till last...) so there is no need for cuting to 3 or 10..
