ATTENTION: Your tunes may be getting nabbed off myspace

Don't think I should post the link but there appears to be a webiste offering your tunes for free download. Just put in my old site and the new one and seem to be a few tunes of mine up there. Same with Metalbox, Reso, Whistla and a fair few others. Anyone involved in a label pm me and I'll send you the link rather than post it here. Bound to only be the low quality myspace versions, but considering some of these tunes are up for sale, is a bit cheeky.

This is a weak argument.

The site should not be distributing artist's work without permission...

i second that, just because people dont buy wax doesent give them the right to sell pirated dubs. Its a blatant breach of copyright. Artists struggle enough as it is without twats like yourself condoning piracy...im guessing you dont make choons then?

i was under the impression that once you put your music on myspace it becomes the property of MySpace, News Corporation , Rupert Murdoch etc.?? MySpace being owned by Murdoch (CEO of Fox News)

so theoretically they could do it too and you couldnt say a thing ? am i wrong?

It's just a heads up to inform people, I know this shit is inevitable, but it might be wise to be aware of it and take actions such as just uploading edits or putting some sort of spoiler into the clip. This does seem to be a fairly big operation, so it's worth noting for those that are looking at releases of tunes that they can be prepared.

It'd be like showing someone how to rob your home and then giving them the keys though. I know most people are pretty decent about this sort of thing, but a lot aren't.

To be honest, people who use the firefox browser can get a plugin which downloads myspace tunes anyways. If people are intent on ripping myspace tunes, they will find a way.

yes you are wrong. while they are up all you give them is the right to let other people all over the world to listen to them.

the best defence against this kind of thing is to have very very very bad mixdowns. :!:

im surprised people put up full tunes tbh, i only put up clips and your tune is going to be less appealing to a label if the full verision is available to listen some where, same with giving out an mp3 to all and sundry, it de-values your product.
