wicked night

Post by phletch » Sun May 07, 2006 8:36 am

1st time down for me, been following the scene since dubstep allstars vol 1 ....1st time to feel a night of dubstep in the flesh......spent most of eve next to lovely speaker stack with my whole body vibrating, which was lovely experience...great crowd and vibe....n-tyce tore up the warm up slot, kind of making it difficult for kode 9 to follow with his mellower style....in my opinion he kind of subdued the dancefloor mood but s'pose he had the balls to play different styles to the dominant style...he played price "sign of the times" original to to much surprise from crowd....dmz were ruff......was a bit of a rewind festival tho.....every track cept one rewound......i had to smile when even the MC said for f@*k's sake or summing after 10 in a row......great to have a dance thats all about slow skanking ,creates a different kinda vibe....nice and mellow.....i had to leave at 3 cos i needed to drive 1 1/2 hours home to berkshire.....my kids kindly woke me up sfter 4 hours sleep.....nice

Big up Phletch. Didn't see you before you went. Was great to see you again. Love to the family. Lets catch up soon.

My first DMZ too. Loved it. Wicked sets, great vibe, no trouble. Feeling I can die happy knowing I totally shocked out to 'Haunted' last night!!

Only downside - lost my mobile phone! Oh well, have to get a flash new one now!!

Respect to all who reached.

N -type rocked it so did Kode 9 and Space Ape, when I left at 4.30am Skream was tearing it up but, for me, Digitial Mystikz were the best couple of hours - Loefah took the roof off! Seriously it was all good even getting in at 5am and my youngest boy waking up at 5.15! Brilliant night can't wait for the next one.

I had a great night...all the sets were good, Skream tore the roof off with some of the tunes he was playing, some serious bass pressure...The crowd was great, proper good vibes in side!! Bring on the next one

Amazing night, journey home was awful but it was worth it. All the sets I saw were wicked but Loefah/Digimystikz and Skream were rowdy. Will be coming back in a few months.

What was with the security there? I almost got kicked out for building zoot. Then he took my ear plugs and shouted "What the fuck are these, are you on pills, are you fuking dumb". Thanks grand who helped out aswell. "Next time I see you your out" and he slammed his fists together, thats a nice vibe for Dubstep aint it. Pricks.

Nice meeting quite a few people, can't remember names anymore so tell me if I met you!

Plasticmans set was so live again, stayed till the very end. Him dropping Japan was next level. On that sound system it sounded so nice. I loved the Digital Mystkz set aswell "Why haven't you learned anything"!!! Tune!

Sound system was good for once but them spiral stairs confused the shit out of me and tripped me out big time.

Crazy D was illll as usual, proper feeling the vibes!
