vocal sampling

Where do people get their vocal samples from, speech quotes, or singing or anything, i only ever find shit ones which i cant use. Any good websites i should be looking at?

they sample films for moviee quotes.

go thought ur dvd's and just open up sound forge and record wot u like

acapella (for lets say rnb) just google acaplles milions of free shit out there.

i got 9 gig of acapellas i could sit here all day and chop up.

just goggle any and everythink trust ur bound to find stuff

even youtube has acapellas now.

I put a mic in front of singers and voice actors, usually.

sample movies and other peoples songs. get a mic and record your own.
or if you are really lazy there are sample cds with vocal cuts which you can buy.

what also you can do is connect your pc with your tv and there is a program, silentbob is a name i think, which records in buffer amount of time you tell him. so for example if you put there 30sec and you hear something interesting you have 30sec to press record. when you press record it will record last 30sec from buffer and then continue to record in real time. you can sample this way some crazy stuff.

i had this setup but i lost the program with hdd crash and didn't bother to find it again. but on linux i have program called time machine which is similar program and it always runs in background when i watch tv.

if someone else knows any similar program to silentbob for windows please share it. :)
