7-9 - really feeling that ridiculous epic proportions business. Might make a 78 minute track if I'm really boxed, sure the neighbours think I am when they hear the endless loopage going on.

No shorter than 4 minutes, if you want djs to mix it. But then, if it is 1 minute long and good enough, I would play it.

5 mins 30 secs max if you want to cut it on dub or vinyl, any longer and you compromise quality and loudness.
