already got this on my college but yeah its kinda true even the labels are getting kinda desperate because of the illegal download story

Dick dale is a bit of a legend, responsible for the pulp fiction theme tune among other things, but i did think his advice was ridiculously money-centric. The whole "you get to keep your music" bit was almost an afterthought.

But he has got a point. Although in a small scene like this, labels are probably your friend. Can't see Kode9 or Scuba screwing people over for cash.

Kode9 and Scuba are guys who did more or less exactly what Dick Dale was saying.

and im sure that most dubsteppers would help out their fellow brethren with setting their own labels

the more varied the labels, the more dubstep will proliferate

its not screwing people.. its like about making good deals. if you own a label then i think you also wanna live with enough money so you cant eat. You cant say to all the artists : ah man cause ure so good and youre so cool here you got 5% more of my part.

its just about making deals and its also about the scene. If youre in the popscene then just grab an artistdeal. 5% of the full is ALOTS...

if youre in a dubstep scene i prolly tryin to get a distributiondeal.
