For the next Fortified Session we are hosting the launch party for our good friends at STUFF records next single, 'The Dark Is Rising' 12"/CD, by The Village Orchestra.
The Village Orchestra (Stuff Records/Highpoint Lowlife/Marcia Blaine) l play live,
Production Unit (Marcia Blaine/Numbers), is dj'ing,
and............
2562(Tectonic, A Made up Sound,Dogdaze)is dj'ing.
Doors 11-3 Tax £6 nus £8 all others
p.s. for all edinburgh punters, you can catch 2562 up there the following night, but I dunno the exact details, over to you 4line!

if last friday was anything to go by this ill be fuckin awesome
in case anyone missed it or doesn't know village orchestra here's his mix broadcast on mary anne hobbs show in dec.
one of my fav mixes of moment especially when goron sound drops

Cheers for this, one of my favourites from last year! Am I correct in thinking that The Village Orchestra is just one guy and a member of Marcia Blaine's?

Yeah you are correct. Production Unit is another of the Marcias. to get an idea of tvo in live action here's a link to a not so new liveset of his and fellow stuffrecordser Izu

If I remember correctly there's about 45 minutes of TVO, 10 minutes of TVO & Izu togther and then 45 of Izu on his own

yeah this is going to be hefty. Free promo cds of the new Village Orchestra on Stuff Records to the first 50 through the door as well, cant beat a bargain like that.
yes i am one person. i am also 1/3rd of the Marcia Blaine folk.

some hot new material for this, not only am i dropping some of the new Stuff Recs 12"/cd material but also some of the stuff from this summer's next TVO album plus a sneak preview of tracks from the Konxompax/TVO split 12" coming out later this year. Plus rumour has it mr 2562 might exclusively drop his TVO remix for the first time anywhere.....
