controlling Traktor with hardware.

hello. i think the title says it all.
Im interested in doin this simply just so I can play my tunes out and have some fun. And eventually expand it into a live set!
just checked out this
looks interesting!
help me out, whats my options?

on same topic... if anyone knows how to use a midi controller (keyboard style) with traktor, let me know.. my other thread on this topic has proved no use thus far

i ran traktor with a radium 61 once, when it was all i had. it worked okay, but you;ve gotta rethink the way you percieve the controller to make it work. also, you have to map the controls to the controller in a way that works for you.
that faderfox controller is supposed to be amazing. the one for live is supposed to kick ass too. I use an evolution x-session when i play out with traktor (along with an echo audio indigo dj). really great controller for traktor, i just map all the effects and eqs to the knobs, and then the crossfader to the... crossfader
theres many, more advanced controllers out than the x-session these days, you just gotta find one that speaks to your individual workflow.

just looked at that Behringer one everyone seems to have.
Really cheap as youd expect, probably not great quality, but I think it could be the one due to its sync button next to the fader and mic input(!)
probably will break(inger) but still, im thinking mostly for playing house parties and possibly integreting a few tracks into a live set

what about the hercules dj console. not a bad piece of equipment for mixin tunes on your pc. the jogwheels are a bit sensitive and take some gettin used to but its good for just usin around the house

I have the DJ2 and it is amazing. it comes pre-mapped for traktor too. You can control the pitch with the top knobs (they multiple functions) and you can time up and down the record with those blue buttons on the bottom.
i've been using it for a few months now and have not experienced any problems whatsoever. My only suggestion would be that if you can afford it, get the DX2 as well because it makes looping a hell of a lot easier. The thing is built like a tank and does not feel toyish at all.
i've even used in reason when controlling parameters of the subtractor.
