Stone cold classic grime sets

I love grime but one thing I've not really heard properly is some of those classic radio sets which loads of heads go on about as being the essence of grime. Its one thing buying a load of mixtapes but I feel I'm not hearing everything the genre has to offer. So I'm asking if people can post up some classic sets off Rinse or wherever and see if we can get a decent little list going. A lot of stuff is going to get lost as time goes on. Be nice to try and spread it about a bit.

Good idea. I passionately hate what grime has become. Really only liked it for about a week and a half of its being born (well, anything before 2003 I guess?!) but I saw a clip of '21 Seconds' being performed on TOTP the other day and I remember what it was about Grime I liked - how new and raw it was.

Any proper old radio sets would be appreciated.

Deja Vu, Freeze, Rinse and what have you please..

yea ill third this request, still want to hear some more of the old stuff, having had my head in the sand about it all for so long. are there any classic sidewinder sets worth having as well? or do the forum rules not permit that stuff being uploaded?

i might have a few things i can up in a week or so, but i reckon most people will already have them.

DJ: Maximum
MC's: Wiley, Skepta, JME, Scorcher, Wretch 32, Chronik, Jammer, Tempa T, Brazen, Lady Fury, Gully Ranjah & more

Not exactly a classic set, only from early '06, but it is a big set nonetheless

check out these threads on RWD:

also, just do a search there for "download sets" or something like that and it will return a lot of stuff. If links are dead try asking people to reupload.

don't have a link unfortunately but look out for the sidewinder mixtape that has slimzee wiley and dizzee doing their thang, managed to dl side B once upon a time and still on the looking for side A. I still don't think any mc to come from grime has come close to dizzee in terms of content and flow, and that tape is him at his rawest.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqhnFMfnxkw - lots of big bwoys in this clip, and the infamous beef between dizzee and crazy titch.

grime is only worth listening to when its a set from a radio. The produced songs, albums, mixtapes are usually shite.
Ive got a couple of old roll deep ones from deja vu. also some nasty, with devilman, first time I had heard devilman!
Also some old Birmingham sets, Power Hill crew, i love the 2 small sets from them, but never heard anything since. Also a few Midlands Mafia. And Graveyard before they kicked couple out and changed to ww.dot.
