i'm having major issues with my decks going through my mixer. Everything was cool up until i got monitors and a soundcraft mixer now its just 99 problems.
Basically sound only comes from one speaker sometimes and sometimes gets quieter. I have brand new carts and just bought a new set of headshells. it can't be my deck mixer as i have tried it on 2 seperate ones.
what the fuck is going on, please someone help me before i smash the whole fucking lot. if there were a picture to sum up my mood at the moment it would be:

it's the soundcraft compact 4, bought it second hand but it looked brand spanking when i got it.
other equipment: decks/gemini tt-02, mixer/numark dxm06, monitors/samson resolv50a (one is quieter than the other from brand new) and the soundcraft.
i have no clue what's going on, i need someone to check it out because i doubt i have it all wired together properly anyway.

If your swapping the speaker to mixer cables and its still louder in the right, then it has to be one of the speakers is at fault. Sorry if I'm stating the obvious.

Yeah I agree sounds like the left monitor is faulty. So you've taken the right o/p from the desk and tried it in the left monitor? And still no sound? But the right o/p into the right monitor gives you sound? And the left o/p to the right monitor gives you sound? Yeah? Ok if so then the left monitor is faulty. So take it back and get a refund!

If you have your decks on different channels to your computer, maybe it's a duff trim pot or fader?
on the soundcraft I mean, sry, not very clear.

Aw dude...
That sucks ass. Glad you got it resolved.. Nothing worse than having problems with sound.
Maybe festering herpes sores, I cannot vouch for that though.
