Amit and dubstep

Any Amit fans here ?

I'm amazed at how much space there is in his tracks.

Very refreshing to hear something like this.

Makes me wonder why I ignored him for so long !

I can't help but notice the similarities between Amit's production style and dubstep.

The atmospherics, the drum programming, even his choice of drum hits remind me of dubstep

Amit making dubstep would be sick !

What do you think ?

Any other dnb producers who have a similar style ?

Heard bits and pieces, seems like a very progressive producer. ''MK Ultra'' is good.

Don't know about similar to Amit, but Breakage is another dnb producer who for me is pushing his sound. If by some accident you don't know about Breakage check some stuff out i.e. ''Untitled Jungle'' ''The 9th Hand'' ''The Look'' etc.

Especially Comatose, Spiritualism, The 9th Hand, Drowning, Trans Bohemia.
Breakage at his best with mad drum programming and a great "space" feel surrounding it.

Amit's album is just too good for words. Has such a great impact on dancefloors too

I wasn't feeling him from the few vinyl samples I'd heard online,
but seeing a live set in Brighton a few weeks back converted me.

If he releases an album, I will seriously be checkin it.

Amit is the only producer I really love in Drum'n'bass... And that Tronic tracks are heavy... I did a mixtape featuring those tunes...

AMIT is a badman!! Love his tracks, especially the "halv tempo" tracks! Pure dubstep feeling in DnB tempo. Real evil! :D

With all due respect this is an opinion that seems quite common among some dnb heads but I dont get it - sure I'll drop breakage from time to time but aint nithing new there - aint pushing the sound. Go and check some old school gear - its the sme thing really just a bit rawer. Check some Ray Keith - it blows breakage clean out the water. No hating on the new dnb producers but I think they are overated a bit. Seems like peeps are a bit desperate to find some new leftfield heroes

Really enjoying these bits by breakage, i havent really followed drum and bass for a long time as i got a little bored by it. I think amit has some great tracks but whenever i mention his name to people who are proper drum and bass heads they never seem to know who im on about??
