RubaDub has a surprising amount of dubstep in it these days, if you get in quick.
Not exactly masses, but more than they used to have, and newer stock too.
Oxfam and Mixed up records are both sweet - days can be lost rifling thru the crates! You can pick up some belters at both

Yep friday/sat best day to go in as thats when they normally get new stock in.gravious wrote:RubaDub has a surprising amount of dubstep in it these days, if you get in quick.
Richard who runs stuff records(put out rusties tunes) works in rubadub. He normally orders the dubstep. If doesn't seem like they've got much new shit always worth asking them. I find quite often they've got new shit in the back they haven't put out yet!

also worth checkin Mono good cheap veggie food an record store. Hear they have the odd bit of dubstep + other random stuff

is a good online shop, just looking he has dropped his prices a fair bit, think he is still running out of his house in rutherglen
Its shite how its actually a novelty to be able to go into an actual record store an browse.......
..but thats the case for me as most of my stuff i order online.
Totally know what you mean bout rubadub as i remember goin in an was nomally same shit hardly updated dubstep anyway. just not worth it really
Recently they've improved a lot tho. Generally anything new on Skull Disco, Hyperdub, Tectonic or DMZ they'll have stocked alongside other random stuff.
They've got nice minimal dubby techno section which tempts me down as well. I'd be so gutted if they shut down. They seem to do alright off equipment etc i hope.
Unless i'm totally missin somewhere they've got the best dubstep selection in glasga

Aye, I reckon. Not many contenders these days unfortunately.daggus wrote: Unless i'm totally missin somewhere they've got the best dubstep selection in glasga
Yeah, forgot about there actually, have grabbed a few things there in the past. Mr Ceskus keeps the dubstep on order!jim wrote:Avalanche records on Dundas street has a small selection of dubstep. Small CD section and some 12"s. I've bought D1 12"s on Tempa, Skream album, Dubstep Allstars, Rinse:01 and 03 and etc. from there.
Was in Oxfam today and picked up the greatest hits of Rick James on vinyl! Class. I'm gonna wear that one out.
They have my first ever turntables as their listening post, and they are still going strong! They haven't even changed my dirty old slipmats...
