Myspace have added GRIME as a musical genre!!!!!!!!

I'm extremely proud of everyone for getting behind it. I can't express just how pleased I am - I think this is a big step for the genre in getting it recognised globally as a legitimate genre.

Next step...... DUBSTEP!!!

haha!

Word. must have made 30 posts on that topic in the forums on Myspace.

Who wants to put out the Dubstep press release? Please post the information and a link to the topic you have started on the forums at Myspace. There will be loads of people to talk it down, but trust me... have a few of the more notable DJ's and producers of the genre post messages to their bulletins on myspace and 1000's of people will post up.

HUGE victory for the underground here. We got a corporate entity to recognize GRIME--of all genre's.

grime is pretty much exclusive to the UK, as well... a good 99% of it I find to be shit, and have chipmunk vocals. Some tracks are sick, but definately not better than dubstep, IMO. It's got some moments--it's got some good tracks, but there are other genre's that deserve to be listed up there, as well

How about a petition to make myspaciallyunaware more visually appealing, looks like a sack'o shit dunnit. All these rancid flashing colours and emo haircuts everywhere, embarrassed to be apart of it, but alas, i am. :)
Well, Grime has been officially 'recognised' it seems.....in the grand scheme of things i'm afraid i can't find myself getting too excited about it, (sorry i'm in a negative mood, you need people like me to continue discussion)...its possible a scene that is prominent on (something as cliquey and fashion obsessed as) myspace is likely to become diluted pretty quickly.
