Got that on a couple CDs. :)

But yeah, Bob affected and influenced so many musicians' music, it's hard to imagine what music'd be without him.

Weather calls for a bit of Bob, doesn't it? Accompanied by some Hendrix, winning combination for the summer folks :D!

Small Axe! It's all about claiming to only like the Lee Perry produced early stuff to maintain nerd cred.

:n:

I get kind of pissed off with people who say they're 'really into reggae' and then can't name a reggae artist other than Bob Marley, or who complain when you're listening to The Upsetters or U-Roy or whatever that it's not "proper reggae like Bob Marley"... but that doesn't take away from the tunes. Ledge.

small axe was my fave bob tune all throughout school. when i discovered lee perry wrote it, i was like ''What the fuck!!! bob didn't even write this fuckin tune! argghhhh'' but that lead me on to discover mr. perry, who i grew to love more than mr. marley.

yea small axe is the shit. i still prefer the grimey, shitty tape recordings of bob more than the shiny remastered stuff. legend = too clean for me

Heard Lee Perry's "White Belly Rat"?

Bob's made some amazing music, no doubt. He made some bad decisions later on and was taken for a bit of a ride, but that dosent take away his importance in Roots Reggae.
