So my sub's amp has a crossover knob, with the frequency ranging from 40-160 hz. what is the ideal position for listening to dubstep tunes? around 80 hz sounds good but you have to turn the amp up a lot. thanks.

basically it should tie into the rest of your system. so if you have bookshelfs that go down to 65hz, setting your sub crossover at 65hz means that it will handle the sub 65 frequencies, and the bookshelfs will handle everything above 65. you see?

i had to go through a lengthy process to get mmy KRK sub to tie into the rest of my system correctly.
you should be able to find the specs of your monitors on the company website.
